Supported Living Team Manager - Bakersfield

Supported Living Service

We’re looking to recruit someone with experience in social care to become Team Manager at a supported living project in Bakersfield, where 5 people with a learning disability share a house together.

This great opportunity will involve leading a small team of support workers and overseeing the day to day running of the project. You’ll be required to work by rota, including some weekends, and approximately one paid sleep-in shift per week.  Your working week will be a combination of admin hours and support hours.

The individuals need support to get the most out of life, both at home and in the wider community.

 

Support can include help with accessing social and leisure activities, support with developing daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and shopping, and maintaining their individual tenancies, accessing healthcare, support with personal care and support with budgeting.

 

Shifts require a degree of flexibility as you will need to be able to work early mornings and late into the evening. You may also be required to work some night shifts at the property.

Would you like to be part of a great team supporting two adventurous individuals who live in Burton Joyce?

 

We’re looking for someone who is pretty energetic and enjoys going for long drives and long walks.  You’ll also take part in in a variety of other exciting and sometimes adventurous activities within the community (lockdown permitting).

 

You’ll need to be a car driver but you won’t need your own vehicle as the two gentleman have their own car.

A car driver is preferred as two of the people living at the property have cars so staff can drive them to activities.  Being a car driver is however not essential

Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so we offer genuine flexible hours; although the majority of our staff work mornings and/or evenings and share weekend cover.
